The figure is cut from flat sheet iron and finished with original painted decoration in cream and black: curled painted hair, expressive facial features, dotted belt and hem trim, and feathered wings swept back in motion. The surface retains its original paint throughout and has never been restored, exhibiting natural crazing, oxidation, and paint loss consistent with age and outdoor use over more than a century. A closely related example is held in the permanent collection of the American Folk Art Museum, New York (acc. no. 1963.1.1), documented in Gerard C.
