Description Sales Policy

A fine Victorian coral cross pendant crafted with 18K gold mounts and finished with a delicate seed pearl accent. This 19th‑century devotional jewel blends natural materials with elegant goldwork, making it a standout example of Victorian sentimental design.

During the Victorian era, coral was prized for its protective symbolism and warm, organic beauty, often used in devotional and sentimental jewelry. Cross pendants of this type were frequently gifted as tokens of faith, affection, or rites of passage, and the addition of a seed pearl reflects purity and refinement typical of mid‑to‑late 19th‑century craftsmanship.

The pendant features a smooth carved coral cross fitted with hand‑tested 18K gold mounts. At the center sits a gold flower motif holding a bezel‑set seed pearl. The mounts test 18K but are unmarked. Condition is very good with expected light wear. Dimensions: Length 2 1/2" including jump ring; Width 1 1/4"; Weight 6.4 grams.

This piece is special for its rich color, elegant proportions, and the rarity of intact Victorian coral jewelry. A beautiful devotional pendant for collectors, a meaningful gift, or a striking accent for antique‑inspired styling.
