This is wonderful Victorian period brooch depicting a bee set with ruby eyes and rose cut diamond wings. The tail is fitted with two cultured pearls. The rose gold tests 14K, there are no marks. The body and legs are in rose gold; the wings are in white gold with three tiny diamonds on each wing. The pearls are 6 and 5 mm in diameter. Condition is excellent. The brooch dates c. 1880s - 1910. Dimensions: Wing span: 1 1/2", Height 1", Weight: 5.83 grams.
