Description Sales Policy

A rare Tiffany & Co. sterling silver and crystal perfume bottle dating to 1891–1902, featuring an extraordinary sculptural snake motif with cabochon ruby eyes. This exceptional Art Nouveau–period design showcases Tiffany’s mastery of precious materials and imaginative decorative forms.

Created during the late 19th century under Tiffany’s early silver production era, the bottle reflects the firm’s fascination with naturalistic motifs and exotic symbolism. Serpents were a favored theme in Art Nouveau design, representing transformation, protection, and luxury—making this piece both historically and artistically significant.

The bottle features a cut‑crystal body with a starburst base and a sterling silver cap from which a finely modeled snake rises. The serpent’s head is detailed with scales and set with ruby cabochon eyes, while its smooth body coils around the circumference of the bottle. The interior of the cap is gilt and stamped TIFFANY & CO along with the number 30, corresponding to the 1891–1902 production period.

  • Dimensions: Height 3.75”, Width 1.5”
  • Condition is excellent.

This perfume bottle is special for its rarity, its sculptural presence, and its unmistakable Tiffany craftsmanship—an exceptional collector’s object with strong decorative and historical appeal.

A museum‑worthy example of Tiffany & Co.’s Art Nouveau silverwork, perfect for collectors of fine silver, vanity items, and luxury decorative arts.
