This is a fine Victorian period 14K gold and amethyst pendant decorated with seed pearls and scrolls. The amethyst is prong set and approximately 4.5 carats. The back has a swivel bale allowing it to be worn as a pendant and a hook at the bottom for it to serve as a watch pin. There are no marks, but it tests 14K. The condition is excellent.

In the center is a bezel set deep vibrant oval purple 3.2 carat amethyst. The top has three leaf decoration holding a pearl. 14K Carter Gough is on the bottom of the piece on the back.
